DAY 1 (Saturday): Chang Chang our latest pet dog
06.28.05 (9:27 pm)   [edit]

Last nite was a terrible nite. The bus was too cold. Me and Dan just hardly could sleep. And some more, the usual stuff, my nexk hurts like hell. Anyway, good thing is, we managed to reach Yong Peng quite early, around 5am. We waited for around 1 hour till Dan’s parents arrive with their new Toyota Vios 1.5G. Wow …. This was also my first time traveling in a Toyota Vios J

Anyway, we headed straight home, rejecting all the invitation from Dan’s parents of having breakfast, and took a long sound sleep. We were later wakened up by some noise which comes from the constant high volume  conversation in the kitchen. Apparently, Dan’s relatives have slowly arrived. Anyway, we then decided to take a bath and wake up at that time. (I really dun quite remember what was the time right then…. Hahahaha)

Preparations for a wedding ceremony is not easy. Dan’s aunties all were participating in some cooking or food preparation in the kitchen. As everyone was busy having something on their hands, me and Dan took the opportunity to get to know the new pet dog, which we named him chang chang due to his longer-than-normal body length

Man, I tell you, he is a real cutie. One thing we can’t stand about him, he is way tooOOooo smelly :p We decided to give him a bathe job. With Dan’s help, we managed to pin him down and tied him up with a chain. To my surprise, he seems like used to bathing. He doesn’t reject water and soap as much as any other dogs that I’ve experienced before, and so, we had a fun time bathing him and cleaning him. When everything was done, we wipe him up with a piece of clean towel, and allow him to shrug his body off the wet.

While he was sun-bathing, we played with him and at the same time, took some pictures with him. It was difficult to try to keep up with him as his pace is fast and constant. I can’t get a hold of him for a still shot. Nevertheless, we did managed to capture quite a number of cute and stunning pix from this little cutie.

He has a fine fur covering his body. One thing cool about him is that he is very friendly, and he doesn’t bite or scratch people, which is why Dan can play with him so happily. He doesn’t jump on people like the previous dog used to be. He doesn’t go anywhere further beyond the gate. The way he runs is wayyyyy to cute to be described in words. Hahahaha …. We love this little doggie very much.

Me trying to hold still chang chang so that Dan could get a nicely focused on him, as he is constantly moving around ... hehehe :p

Hahahaha .... I believe this is the only time chang chang is staying still and that we could get a nice focus on him. Hahaha :D

The food catering service came right on time around 7pm. All the relatives and friends start cramping around rushing for food as usual. As a person that doesn’t like to be in a crowded place, we therefore waited for the wave to cool down before helping ourselves to the food. Nothing was special, just like any ordinary buffet catering. We stuffed ourselves, and not long after that, Dan’s friends joined in. There was Erica, GuanTou, Xian Ku. We all had a fun time talking and eating.

Time flies, and it is already 30 mins past 10. As one of Dan’s friends (Shao Yin) doesn’t know the way to her house, we therefore decided to go for supper in a hawker centre. Erica had to go back to meet her parents, and so, the attendees are, me, Dan, Guantou, Xiao Ku, Shao Yin, Jimmy & wife. Hahahaha … I guess we over ordered the food right then. There were a huge ikan panggang, a huge lobak, a huge fried fucuk, and some satays. Anyway, food wasn’t the main dish. The conversation and life updating was the main point of the gathering, which I really can see everyone including Dan was really enjoying the gathering so much, exchanging all the bits and pieces of their own life which has been gone thru for the past few months.

Anyway, Dan was so happy with the gathering. I could see it in her eyes, although we came back around 2am and we was so tired.
