As my beloved John Blue (betta) has long departed, i was thinking that it is high time i should carry on my life, and move on, by getting a new betta for my aquarium. It happened that i came across these 2 websites, which i find it very interesting and informative for all betta lovers out there. Here they are:-

Talking about bettas leads me back to those memories I spent with my grandpa again :)
Yupe. My grandpa was the first to introduce me to a lot of things, badminton, soccer, cycling .... and .... keeping pets. I don't quite remember me seeing him keeping any fishes as pet, but as a toddler who spent my childhood with my grandparents, he always told me how he would carry my in his arms, and feed those gorgeous betta of his collection from one bottle to another, and change their water. My mother said he was a good betta breeder, with more than 100 bottles surrounding our home. As a curious child, i asked him what happened to all those bettas? He told me that he no longer wants to be a slave anymore. Why make the fish your master, and you the slave ? Hahahaha .... That was kinda like a finny answer :p He told me that the reason for him keeping all those fishes as pet was to show his children something in life, and since everyone has grown up, he has decided to give out all the fishes that he breeded to his friend, Mr. Chew. ..... ........ ... .. yeah ..... Mr. Chew Tien Yang, the multi-level pet shop owner which owns the biggest pet shop in the South East Asia, which at that time, only has a small fish shop operating in SawTow Lane.
The advice of becoming slave to a fish doesn't set in my mind quite well, not until i reach puberty that my father used to always instructed me to clean up him gold fish tank every weekends. Hahahahah .... Seems like i never learn my lesson quite well huh? :p My 4 x 1.5 feet tank sitting in the middle of my living room is slowly getting irritating when the need of changing water and maintainance arises. Me and Dan was planning of getting rid of all the wood logs (which make the water brownish) and plants (which make the water messy with all the floating leafs) from the aqua. To keep the aqua to be as homely and comfortable, we will replace it with some shelter artifacts which we came across in Chew Tien Yang. I believe this will make the water more crystal clear and cleaning up the aqua easier.
